Frequently Asked Questions
How should I get in contact with you?
We are typically busy teaching classes or working with clients, so no one is there to man the phones. If you call, please leave a message and we will return your call. The best way to contact though would be through text (405) 215-9026 or email to mvmntlabwellness@gmail.com and we will get back to you ASAP. Feel free to DM us on instagram @_mvmntlab as well.
I’m a beginner, what class should I sign up for?
At MVMNT Lab we focus on small group classes with a maximum of 5 people per class, helping us to give everyone the attention they deserve, and giving modifications to achieve what your body is needing each day, whether it makes the exercise easier for more beginner clients, or more difficult for more advanced clients. This helps give you more flexibility in our schedule to jump into any class and get what you need out of each class.
I’m ready to jump in but still nervous, I’ve never used a reformer before, are you sure I’m ready?
MVMNT Lab fosters a judgment free community, we’re all cheering each other on, and just remember everyone started exactly where you are at some point in time. The fun thing with group classes are there are 4 others in the class who are either at your same level, or who have been there before. At MVMNT Lab we love to be each others cheerleaders and assure you’ll feel the love and community taking away the stress and anxiety of starting something new.
If you’re still worried about it, or prefer one-on-one attention, message us and we can set up a private lesson and get you acquainted with the reformer before you jump into a group. Private lessons are $80 for a 55 minute session.
Another great option is our private group class, where you can bring yourself and up to 4 friends to start the journey together. We tend to be more comfortable starting something new with someone we know and love, so grab your besties and we can set you up for a private class. This private class is a flat rate of $110 for a 50 minute class, so the more who join you the cheaper it gets per person.
Is there an age restriction for classes or services?
Due to class size, class participants must be 16 years or older. We can accommodate those under 16 years in a private lesson, or private class with parent present.
What should I wear? Is anything required of me to bring?
Wear any athletic clothing that you’re comfortable to move in. Grippy socks are required and for sale at the studio. You do not have to purchase from the studio, but you must wear grippy socks.
I’m ready to join the MVMNT, which package option is best for me?
This all depends on your goals, to get the most out of your pilates journey, we recommend 2-3x/week, but many people find benefit with even just once per week. No matter where you are we have different packages and memberships available to meet your needs.

Help! The class I want to come to is full, what should I do?
Join the waitlist! Many times people will back out of classes at the last minute, and class spots will be offered to those on the waitlist before opening back up to the public to book. You can also book classes up to 30 days in advance, so book early to secure the spots you want.
How does the waitlist work?
You can add yourself to the waitlist for any full class, when someone cancels the next person on the waitlist will be automatically added to the class and you will be notified via text or email when you’ve been added. If you can no longer attend a class you’re on the waitlist for be sure to remove yourself from the waitlist so others have the opportunity to get in as well.
What happens if I can’t attend a class or service I signed up for?
You can cancel any class or service with 12 hours notice with no penalty. If you are on a package, or a 5 or 10 monthly pass you will lose 1 credit, if you are on a drop in or unlimited package you will be charged $14 for late cancellation, and $28 if you no-show without notice. If you cancel a service with less than 12 hours notice you will be charged 50% of the service cost, and 100% of the service cost if you no-show without notice.
Do you offer private classes?
Yes! We offer both private 1:1 pilates lessons, as well as private group pilates classes, perfect for bachelorette parties, birthday parties, monthly or weekly hangouts with your friends, or if you and some friends are wanting to try pilates before jumping into a public group class. These cannot be booked online at this time, must text or email to book a private 1:1 lesson or private class.
What wellness services do you offer?
Amy is a doctor of physical therapy, she has been working in outpatient spine and orthopedics since 2019 and has brought her skills to MVMNT Lab. Wellness services available to book include trigger point dry needling, cupping, manual therapy, soft-tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, injury screening, and specific exercise prescription to help you recover from injury, decrease your pain, and get you moving and feeling better. These services can be booked in 15, 30, 45, and 60 minute intervals. These cannot be booked online at this time, must text or email to book wellness services.
Do you take insurance for wellness services?
We do not take insurance for our wellness services at this time. Working in insurance-based physical therapy for 5 years, we found limits to what we were able to do with our clients, and found that providing tailored cash-based services helped to serve clients better and get them feeling better faster. We offer up-front affordable pricing for our services to help you reach any goals you’d like.
